During the works on the 132kV power line between Puerto del Rosario and La Oliva, we intervened to carry out the cleaning and subsequent restoration of three defensive armament casemates in Corralejo, in the municipality of La Oliva.
These fortifications, a type of defensive trench, were built during the Second World War in the Canary Islands in anticipation of a potential attack from the Allied side.
The restored space has been handed over to the Cabildo and the municipality for tourist use of this circular moat where a fixed artillery piece was located. The moat was accessed via a ramp tunnel that also led to two rooms, one for storing powder and ammunition and the other as a shelter against possible air raids.
