An early medieval Celtic fort was discovered and recovered during the construction works of the Lousame-Tibo power line, between A Estrada (Pontevedra) and Padrón (A Coruña).

Archaeologists believe that Castro Valente could have been a fortress from the early medieval period, covering an area of eleven hectares and featuring a perimeter wall with thirty towers.
