Demand for electrical energy falls 0.2% in November
The demand for electrical energy on the Spanish peninsula in the month of November, after having factored in the seasonal and working patterns, dropped 0.2% with respect to the same month last year. Gross demand was 20,401 GWh, a value 0.6% above that in registered in November 2012.
In the first eleven months of the year, and after having factored in the seasonal and working patterns, consumption was 2.5% less than last year. The demand for electrical energy in this period stood at 224,513 GWh, 2.6% less than the same period in 2012.

New maximum of wind contribution
In November wind power reached its maximum contribution regarding monthly electricity generation having produced 30.1% of the total, standing at 6,238 GWh. This value has represented an increase of 40.8% over the same period last year.
In the month of November, generation from renewable energy sources represented 48.7% of production.
65.8% of electricity generation during the month was obtained using technologies which produce zero CO2 emissions.
