Red Eléctrica enlarges the Pinto substation to strengthen residential and business supplies
The expansion consists of a new transformer position to support distribution, strengthen the residential supply, and drive economic and business activity.
Red Eléctrica, Redeia’s subsidiary responsible for the Spanish transmission and operation of the electrical system, has completed the expansion of the 220 kV Pinto substation. This upgrade reinforces the electricity supply for both the distribution networks and transmission grids within the Community of Madrid.
The company has added a new transformer at the 220 kV Pinto substation to strengthen distribution and improve the quality and security of the electricity supply for local homes and businesses. This enhancement will contribute to the growth, paving the way for better services and a quality of life for citizens.
The project is included in the current Electricity Planning approved by the Council of Ministers. The work was carried out within the substation itself, avoiding any impact on the surroundings and safeguarding its correct integration.
The initiatives included in the Planning will continue to improve the supply in the territory, boost the economy, and progress in the energy transition process.
