The General Director of the Guardia Civil visits Red Eléctrica's Control Centre to learn how the Spanish electricity system works
The General Director of the Guardia Civil, María Gámez, and the Deputy General Director of Operations of the Guardia Civil, Pablo Salas Moreno, have today visited Red Eléctrica de España’s Control Centre accompanied by the director of the Spanish Centre for the Protection of Infrastructures and Cybersecurity (CNPIC), José Luis Pérez, and a delegation of the Guardia Civil, to learn first-hand how the Spanish electricity system works and the role of the company as a backbone of the ecological transition in our country. Thus, accompanied by the Chairwoman and the CEO of Red Eléctrica, Beatriz Corredor and Roberto García, they could see how the Spanish electricity system is operated in real time and how renewable energy sources are integrated in the system with the maximum guarantee and security.
This visit is framed within the celebration of the I Cybersecurity Awareness Day, an internal event organised by the company, in line with its commitment to the training and awareness-raising of its professionals in this field “so relevant for us and that is reflected in our Strategy Plan as a fundamental pillar to ensure our role in the energy transition and connectivity in Spain as well as in the other Iberian and Latin American countries where we are present", highlighted Beatriz Corredor, Chairwoman of Red Eléctrica.
