Red Eléctrica has appointed Jorge Juan Jiménez Luna as the new regional delegate for the Company in Andalusia and Extremadura. Jorge Jiménez, an industrial engineer from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales (Advanced Industrial Engineering University) in Seville (1998), has a long career spanning more than twenty years in the energy sector in which he has held various positions in the Andalusian Energy Agency (formerly SODEAN, Sociedad para el Desarrollo Energético de Andalucía, S.A.) where he held different positions, such as Planning Director, General Technical Coordinator, Technical Director, until February 2019 when he took over as Director of the Agency. All this has allowed him to acquire extensive knowledge regarding the sector and of the different public administrations, especially the regional government administrations.

In his new post at Red Eléctrica, Jorge Jiménez will assume the role of institutional representative for the Company in the Southern Region (Andalusia and Extremadura), as well as the coordination of all its activities aimed at promoting the energy transition as well as the socio-economic development in both regions.
