Carlos Méndez-Trelles, new general counsel and non-director secretary of the Board of Directors of Red Eléctrica Corporación

The Board of Directors of Red Eléctrica Corporación has appointed Carlos Méndez-Trelles García as the new general counsel and non-director secretary of the Board of Directors, as proposed by the Appointments and Remuneration Committee. He succeeds Rafael Garcia de Diego Barber, who is stepping down, at his own request, due to his forthcoming retirement.
Méndez Trelles, 45, from Leon, holds a Degree in Law, a Management Development Program (PDD) from IESE Business School, a master's degree in Law in Energy, and a master's degree in Information and Communications Technologies. He first joined Red Eléctrica in 2002, where he has held various responsibilities until his current appointment as Manager of the Internal Audit and Risk Control Management Area
