Credit ratings

The strong strategic position of Red Eléctrica, its solid financial profile and adequate liquidity allow the Company to maintain a rating level above that awarded to Spain.

On 4th July 2017, the rating agency Standard & Poor’s has issued a new report maintaining the company’s rating level and its outlook. Red Eléctrica Corporación, S.A. and its subsidiary Red Eléctrica de España, S.A.U. maintain their long term ratings of ‘A-’ and short term ratings of ‘A-2’ with a stable outlook.

On 27th May 2016, the rating agency Fitch Ratings has upgraded the company’s rating to ‘A’ from ‘A-’ with a stable outlook. Red Eléctrica Corporación, S.A. and its subsidiary Red Eléctrica de España, S.A.U. maintain their long term ratings of ‘A’ and short term ratings of ‘F1’ with a stable outlook.
